We are looking for a fullstack .Net developer who is eager to learn and share knowledge, who wants to be part of a team where customer value is the main focus and teamwork is the way to get there!
This role is part of the Checkout team, which consists of five developers, two QA, and a product owner. The Checkout team is part of our IT organization but works with our business area Webpay, whose purpose it is to help our customers get paid online.
We have an agile mindset and follow Kanban in our daily work, which is to develop and maintain both the frontend and backend parts of the application. The agile process is adapted by the team and revised on each retrospective. We don´t do time estimates, we focus on doing one thing at the time.
What will you do?
You will be working closely together with the Checkout team in building and maintaining the Checkout solution for our B2C and B2B customers. The team quickly delivers customer value without risking uptime or stability, which are key factors in making us successful within this part of the fintech industry. The development is done on the Microsoft stack in C# and latest version of .NET with the ambition to use .NET Core. We work with a test-driven approach, not just with unit tests but also work closely with QA to deliver solutions that are testable. Also, the level of product ownership within the team is high and each team member is expected to want to become an expert of the product, not just the tech.
The tech stack:
React + Typescript, ASP.NET 4.7 + C#, NServiceBus, GIT + Azure DevOps
Who are you?
A passion to learn and share knowledge is valued higher than seniority by us. Teamwork comes naturally to you, and you understand the power of a team that solve our customer needs and business requirements together. We expect all our team members to take responsibility for team-improving meetings, such as retrospectives, to secure the best possible outcome.
We do code and talk tech a lot, but we also discuss solutions together and describe technical solutions and their presumptive business value to non-tech people, so good communication skills are required in order to succeed. It is important to us that you appreciate sharing knowledge, both within the team and between teams at Webpay IT. Furthermore, you have the ability to be pragmatic to change in business requirements and you want to be part of an agile team in a fast-moving part of the fintech sector.
- Somewhat fluent in backend and/or frontend development (but want to work within the full tech stack with help from the team)
- Good understanding of test-driven approach
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
What do we offer?
We offer developer lunches once a month and afternoon tech events a couple of times per year where developers and QA hold knowledge sharing sessions. Regularly we host our internal Svea conference where we visit another (sunnier) country. Svea is a fintech company with operations in several European countries. For over 30 years, we have served as a financing partner to companies and thereby helped them reach and exceed their goals! At Svea, there is an entrepreneurial spirit and we have a distinctly familial corporate culture. We value work life balance and respect your life outside of work. We are in located in a lovely, newly built office in Arenastaden, Solna.
