What’s in it for you?
We are in a paradigm shift when it comes to the automotive industry. Self-driving vehicles is the next important step in Volvo Car Group’s development of the world’s safest cars. To be able to succeed Volvo Cars’ vision that nobody should be seriously injured or killed in a new Volvo car, the Autonomous Driving area is an integral part of development within Active Safety.
Within Active Safety and Autonomous Drive we work with both research/advanced engineering and industrialisation including implementation, verification and validation of current and future customer offers. You will work in a team of skilled engineers that design the system solution of the hardware and software platform to enable function development for active safety systems and self-driving cars. The development work is done in close collaboration with both internal and external partners.
What you will do
You will be part of a cross-functional agile team that works with system design of ECU and sensor integration (camera, radar, ultrasonic and lidar technology), logging solutions for data collection and system integration in prototypes and system verification. Functional safety (ISO26262) is an integrated part of the system design development. The field of Cyber Security (ISO/SAE 21434) is an increasingly vital competence area in which we now will strengthen the team by having you on board. Being a member of this agile team, you will have the chance to work with a variety of systems engineering tasks in these areas contributing to the team’s complete delivery.
What you bring in
You have minimum a B Sc degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar, and worked some years with systems engineering and embedded SW development in the automotive domain. You have experience of Cyber Security from a system design and requirement definition perspective.
Working in an international environment you have excellent English skills verbally and in writing. You are a self-motivated and team-oriented person with a technical mindset and well acquainted with agile methods. You possess an energetic approach to continuously learn and innovate. And you see a challenge in using your problem-solving skills in this dynamic environment.
