Big data and advanced analytics are transforming the retail market. ICA now recruits data engineering experts to challenge and develop solutions for our future business. This team will be a key player in transforming ICA into a truly analytics-driven leader in meeting the customer on the customers terms within grocery retailing.
We're establish an in-house team of engineers and are looking for an experienced lead developer to build a team around. The team will build ingestion pipelines, implement real time capabilities, work with our data scientists and analysts to prepare, explore and transform data and to smoothly deploy machine learning models into production and also support project initiatives with guidelines, ways of working and best practices. We think DevOps is a key to our success. The team will also work with the existing BI & Analytics team to create one integrated Analytics landscape for all our needs.

We are therefore centralizing and growing our analytic functions, modernizing and investing in our BI / Big Data environments such as Cloudera / Hadoop / Spark and Tableau alongside with our traditional DWs solutions. We are currently working on a number of Advanced Analytics / Machine Learning use cases and are now on an exciting journey where we want to accelerate the use of Analytics in the entire organization.
Who you are:
In this team you need to have excellent skills in Scala programming (or JAVA), and great skills in Hadoop and Spark. You are a person that loves to collaborate with other people to drive the business and delivery forward. It is important that you take self-leadership as a given and own your area.
