The overall goal of project HERO is to provide a framework that enables development of optimized parallel software, automatic mapping of software to heterogeneous hardware platforms, and provision of automatic hardware acceleration for the developed software.
We now seek a senior researcher for the last part of the HERO project (sub-project three) to help develop a framework for designing a deep learning accelerator.
The researcher will participate in project proposal preparation and co-production with industrial partners.
The position is part-time (50%) and a temporary employment until 2020-01-30.
The applicant is required to have a PhD degree in a relevant field.
A successful applicant should have demonstrated practical skills of formulating and developing partitioned problems on heterogeneous architectures (like UltraScale or Zynq).
Good knowledge of VHDL, Verilog, or System-C is required.
Applicants need to be highly motivated and fluent in English, both written and spoken.
