Java Developer, Mölndal

Qmatic has started a journey.

Our current on-premise solution needs to be rewritten to a fully SAAS solution in AWS. We have started with a blank page and are rewriting all code to match our future cloud offerings. And on top of this we will also, in the summer of 2019, move to completely new premises in Krokslätt Fabriker in Mölndal. Sounds interesting? Please join us!

The challenge
At Qmatic we have a successful product called Orchestra, installed at customer sites all over the world, handling 2 billion customer journeys per year. At one customer the product handles printing of 2km of tickets per hour and at another customer we manage up to 200 000 appointments per day.
The challenge for our agile Java teams is to maintain the existing product with bug fixes and new features and at the same time learn and implement a brand-new solution in AWS.

Our existing product is built in Java running in both an application server and a web server. We work with relational databases, Spring, RESTful webs services, WebSocket, JavaScript, Git, Jenkins, Gradle etc. The new solution will be built in AWS using Lambdas, DynamoDB, CloudFormation, EC2, S3, IAM, AppSync, IoT and any new functions that we think we need.

The Job
Regardless if you are a senior Java developer or just entering the field, we expect you to work with the full stack in our products. In this position you will have the possibility to influence the choice of techniques and frameworks. You will be working in an agile Java team which takes full responsibility for their respective areas. This means you will be programming both alone and in pair, reviewing and testing other developers code. You will also be in contact with other colleagues both in Sweden and abroad, so we expect you to communicate well both in Swedish and English.

We look forward to receiving your application on our website:
